Spiral of Life "Spiral of Life" - The Inspiration The spiral is a powerful symbol signifying growth, evolution, and expansion. It is believed that strong energy emanates from the center of the spiral. A few years ago, computer software was often developed using a process known as the Spiral Development Model. According to this model, an application is created little by little. A handful of requirements are tackled. The software is designed, coded, and integrated before adding in the next sub-set of requirements and repeating the process. This model encourages developers to learn from their experience and incorporate that learning into the next phase of the software development life-cycle. I see this software development model as a great metaphor for life. The cycles you experience as you live your life -- the ups and downs, the twists and turns, and all the lessons learned -- represent the “Spiral of Life”. "Spiral of Life" - The Vision We often find ourselves "spiraling" back to the same or similar life situations, and with each new experience, we can negotiate the situation with a little more experience and finesse. The energy emanating from within the "Spiral of Life" is you. You have the most capacity to grow and expand when you are living authentically; when you understand your unique character and the gifts you bring to this world and when you are able to express those openly. "Spiral of Life" - The Foundation Women in the corporate world, especially in engineering and other technical professions, are often faced with the dilemma of being successful without sacrificing themselves, without giving up their own personal values and goals, and without losing their unique feminine perspective.
