During the year that I worked with Laurie, I found that coaching was probably one of the toughest, yet the most fulfilling things I’ve done.  I can easily say that the benefits are well worth it.  It’s a pretty amazing experience to have someone come along with you on your life journey.

Like a great sports coach, Laurie helped me to get a different view of my ‘playing field’, helped keep me on track, she suggested new strategies when things weren’t working, helped me to celebrate the victories when things were working, and much more.  Most importantly, as a life coach, she would ask the tough questions and not accept the easy answers.  And that’s where the rubber meets the road.

There is so much more to the coaching experience that it’s tough to describe.  It’s a very personal and unique experience.  You just have to experience it!!

When I began coaching with Laurie, I was wandering from one job to another, with no real career, nor any ideas on how to settle on one and develop it. Since then coaching has helped me define and begin to honor my values, as well as define and eliminate some possible career avenues, all while finding a job that is secure and yet flexible enough to allow me to continue my longer term search.  I am now at the point, less than a year later where I have accomplished the initial goals of my coaching and I am ready to move forward towards finding and choosing a career path.

Through my coaching with Laurie, I have gained a renewed focus on myself, reconnecting with values that I had not lived up to in some time, as well as engaging my mind in activities that are fundamental to enriching my life experience and progressing my personal journey. I have taken back my life so to speak, holding myself accountable while outfitting myself with the necessary tools to accomplish my goals.

I have enjoyed having someone outside of my life with whom I can not only share any detail whether trivial or important but who also helps me maintain my focus and affords me an alternate and professional perspective.
